About the Healing Forum & the Healing Honor

In its striving to invoke an all-round discourse around National Excellence in various fields, ReTHINK INDIA in association with Aarogyam Institute of Integrated Medical Sciences is commemorating the forthcoming International Yoga Day on June 21st, 2021 by way of The Healing Forum. 

Selection of 21st of June - the day of summer solstice, when the Sun travels the longest path through the sky when the North Pole is tilted about 23.4° (23°27´) toward the Sun, and that day, therefore, has the most daylight is quite a symbolic day commemorating the InternationalYOGA DAY. Yoga in the great sanskrit traditions of India stands for synthesis, communion and interdisciplinarity in-addition to the specific discipline of Ashtanga Yoga propounded by Maharshi Patanjali. 

The central theme envisaged for this year's forum is Yoga (synthesis) of Healthcare with Technology, Traditions (Clinical as in Allopathy, Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Homeopathy) and Tourism.

21st June also happens to be the punyatithi of Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in whose name we have instituted Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar Healing Honors 2021 which are being extended to a vast galaxy of healthcare luminaries who have facilitated the advancement of integrative & preventive healthcare. 

A medical doctor from the Calcutta Medical College way back in 1916, Dr. Hedgewar's philosophy had always been for a rational, reasoned, and scientific discourse an enunciated in "Accept only that which stands to your reason. Never accept anything merely because it is preached by some great Leader. Test its truth on the touchstone of your intellectual discrimination."  

An Organizer par-excellence, he laid the foundations of the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh - plausibly the world's largest volunteer corps - to propound and penetrate the fascination of Indian Nationalism in all its majestic splendor across the nook and cranny of the country anchored deeply into the Civilizational values & virtues of Bharat.
